Polyaluminium chloride

Description

Product name: Polyaluminum chloride (PAC), Aluminium polychlorid
Molecular formula: [Al2(OH)nCl6-n]m
Molecular weight:
CAS NO.: 1327-41-9

Properties and uses: Polyaluminum chloride (PAC) also known as Aluminium polychloride, is an inorganic substance, an emerging water purification material, and an inorganic polymer coagulant. It is yellow or light yellow, dark brown, or dark gray resinous solid in color. This product has strong bridging adsorption properties. During the hydrolysis process, physical and chemical processes such as aggregation, adsorption and precipitation occur. PAC has fast flocculation and sedimentation speed, wide range of applicable pH value, non-corrosive to pipeline equipment, obvious water purification effect, and can effectively remove SS, COD, BOD and heavy metal ions such as arsenic and mercury. This product is widely used in drinking water, industrial water and sewage treatment fields.

Standard: GB15892-2020

The mass fractions of insoluble matter, iron, arsenic, lead, cadmium, mercury and chromium in the products listed in the table are all calculated as Al2O3, with a content of 10.0%. When the Al2O3 content is greater than 10.0%, it should be converted into a product proportion with an Al2O3 of 10.0% according to the actual content, and the corresponding mass fractions should be calculated. This product should also meet the requirements of relevant national laws and regulations and mandatory standards.
